Hot dogs, from a hot dog! This Hot Dog Stand was moved recently from Conifer CO, and re-opened to rave roadside reviews on July 4, 2007.
From "The Well-Built Elephant": Built in downtown Denver in 1966 by Marcus R. Shannon, the 28,000 pound hot dog was later moved to its present location near Colorado's Pike National Forest." It was closed again in 1999, but bought by a local couple, moved, and re-opened.
